A museum and studio for letterpress and intaglio techniques, a hotbed of new ideas for old crafts, a center for print-related education, research and art. Studio.Tartuensis is a unique combination of all the above and then some more.
Founded as a non-profit in 2010, Studio.Tartuensis has become an important center for graphic arts and printmaking in the University Town of Tartu, Estonia. Collaboration with several art schools gives us a steady flow of the freshest and brightest ideas that we try to cast into physical form as prints, books, postcards… Sometimes it all works out, sometimes all we are left with is ink on our fingers.
Go and friend our cat and the inventor of letterpress printing Johannes Gutenberg on Facebook. Let him know you came from Etsy and he will reply with a 5% discount code. He will also post cute pictures of himself occasionally.
